Next Draft

I figure we should poll the league to find out how many rounds the majority of the league wants in the next draft.

id say keep it short, no use in drafting everyone and it taking 9 weeks to do 7 rounds

Well if we did 7 rounds, it would be in one night (maybe 2) over MSN, and there would be little leeway time with picks.

If we're doing two drafts per NHL seaosn, and two drafts per NHL draft, where would all the extra picks come from? I like four.

I personnally voted for 4 rounds, seeing the interest of the other GMs.

About the half of our farm teams are dressing unknown players for their match at the moment. I GUESS, maybe I'm wrong here, that it's because there is a good amount of GMs that aren't willing to build a good farm roster in addition to their pros. Maybe it's just a lack of interest/time... On my side personnal point of view, I'd like to see complete farm rosters.

In resume, I think that 4 rounds is just enough to draft the guys that have a fair chance to play in pro in a few year. Then again, if one goal of the league is to make the farm team more important that they are at the moment, more rounds would definitely bolster up those roster

Well if we continue as is, we're 3 drafts back on the NHL. At our rate, we'll continue to be behind. But yea, I considered that, don't worry.

And Hugo, I agree with the farm. That's one thing I hoped to accomplish by adding more rounds but so far it may just be one round we add.

I say keep it to 3 personally, but it doesn't matter either way.

It's still looking like 4. I don't think 3 is too bad, but 4 makes for a longer draft, more prospects. Most prospects end up not used, so eventually we'll have to go through and delete them anyways. I honestly have no problem with any of these options, but it looks like it'll be 4.
